Lee Cheuk Lam (Asha) Hello everyone! My name is Lee Cheuk Lam (Asha) and I am from Hong Kong. I completed my Bachelor\u2019s degree in Cultural Studies and a Master\u2019s degree in Sociology. I am currently pursuing my second Master\u2019s degree in Intercultural Management at UBE.<\/p>\n I decided to pursue a Master\u2019s degree in Intercultural Management because the programme offers a wide variety of subjects that allow us to gain practical work experience. I truly appreciate the opportunities to connect with people from different fields. I have gained valuable experience through my involvement in the event team, where I organise events and collaborate with different stakeholders.<\/p>\n After graduation, my goal is to work for international organisations such as UNESCO or the United Nations. I hope that the networks and knowledge I gain from this programme will further equip me to pursue my aspirations.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Danai Barouni<\/strong> Academic and professional background:<\/strong> Bachelor\u2019s in English language and literature, professional experience in teaching English as a foreign language and administrative assistance\/customer service.<\/p>\n I wanted to change career paths, re-invent myself, and work in the Management sector, ideally in the Management of Culture and Arts. I am a person who loves languages and communication with people, and when I saw the opportunities the ICM could give me, I jumped right in.<\/p>\n Collaboration on an international level has always been a dream of mine, as well as living abroad, which will allow me to become even more interculturally competent, something that is also one the main goals of this Master\u2019s program.<\/p>\n Joining ICM has been a pleasure, as I get to learn more every single day, both from my professors, and my wonderful colleagues. I cannot wait to see what the future brings!<\/p>\n The ideal career path for me would be either working as a manager in an arts museum, or in HR.<\/p>\n Jenna Albaroudi I graduated wi I decided to expand my knowledge in human services into the global field. As a first generation Syrian American, I grew up in an intercultural environment that shaped my worldview and sparked my interest in working across cultures. The ICM program at UBE interested me because it aligned with my passion for international collaboration, social justice, and migration studies. Studying at UBE has been especially meaningful to me because of its international academic environment and the opportunity to engage in global projects alongside students from around the world.<\/p>\n After graduation, my goal is to work in the humanitarian sector, ideally with international organizations such as the United Nations or global nonprofits, where I can contribute to programs that support underserved communities worldwide.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Steblina Yelyzaveta Academic and professional background: Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Languages, Literatures, and Foreign and Regional Civilizations from the University of Burgundy; Bachelor\u2019s Degree in International Relations, Political Science, and Social Sciences from Odesa I. I. Mechnikov National University.<\/p>\n After earning two degrees in slightly different fields, I wanted a program that could bring everything together. I was happy to find the Intercultural Management program at the University of Burgundy, which perfectly matches my goals. I also really like that the class is multicultural. Before, I was the only foreigner in a group of French students, so now it feels much easier to communicate and share experiences with everyone. It is inspiring to learn in such an international environment and to prepare for a career where I can work with people from different cultures.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n I chose the ICM Master\u2019s program to deepen my understanding of what culture is. I found the program to be a great representation of what I was looking for, because the pieces of the puzzle of my background fit very well, like glue that will stick them together. It offers an analytical, practical, and critical approach to intercultural communication and management. Living abroad is something I am very passionate about, and taking this program, along with the opportunity to go on an exchange, aligns very well with that. I also wanted to learn French while living in the country, since I consider it the best way to learn the language.<\/p>\n I value the opportunity to study at Universit\u00e9 Bourgogne Europe, the challenge the lectures represent for our analytical thinking, the international environment of the Master\u2019s program, the diversity of perspectives in the classroom, and the space it creates for reflection, dialogue, and collaboration. My dream and goal after graduation is to achieve a PhD.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n I have an academic background in Nutrition and Education, along with professional experience in Nutrition, training, and communication. Working in diverse educational and professional environments in India sparked my strong interest in intercultural dialogue and global collaboration.<\/p>\n I decided to pursue a Master\u2019s degree to expand my career into an international space and strengthen my understanding of culture in organisational contexts. I chose the ICM programme at Universit\u00e9 Bourgogne Europe because of its practical approach to intercultural management, diversity, and global mobility. The programme\u2019s international focus and real-world perspective truly resonated with my aspirations.<\/p>\n What I appreciate most about studying at UBE is the multicultural classroom, practical approach and the constant exchange of perspectives. Coming from a different academic background has challenged me in the best way, helping me grow both academically and personally.<\/p>\n After graduation, I hope to work in international organisations or global companies, contributing to intercultural strategy and cross-border collaboration, while building meaningful bridges across the globe.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Sarah Batrisyia I am a Master\u2019s student in Intercultural Management at Universit\u00e9 Bourgogne Europe, with a background in Human Resource Management, Social Work, and Sociology, and experience working across diverse public and private-sector environments.<\/p>\n I chose the ICM programme for its strong focus on intercultural competence, ethical decision-making, and global collaboration, and for its ability to connect theory with real-world practice. Studying at UBE has been especially rewarding thus far due to its international classroom, supportive academic community, and reflective learning environment. Living in Dijon, read: central Europe and affordable living expenses, has further strengthened my intercultural awareness and adaptability across a myriad of different cultures, especially hailing from my sunny island-city of Singapore.<\/p>\n After graduation, I see myself involved in the private sector, focusing on intercultural strategy, ethical AI adoption, and stakeholder engagement, and to contribute to more inclusive and culturally responsive global workplaces.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Academic and professional background: <\/strong>I hold a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Linguistics, which sparked my interest in languages and supported my development in English and French.<\/p>\n After leaving Russia following the outbreak of the war, I lived and worked for one year in Thailand and then two years in Serbia, where I gained experience in international financial services companies operating in global and multicultural environments. These professional and personal experiences strengthened my interest in international cooperation and cross-cultural work.<\/p>\n I decided to pursue a Master\u2019s degree to build on my professional experience and strengthen it with an academic perspective in intercultural management. The ICM program felt like a natural continuation of my studies and career, and it also offered the opportunity to live and study in France.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Elena Lobyntseva I have an academic background in Creative Writing and the Methodology of Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language. I also have experience in the cultural sector, where I designed courses for people with migration experience.<\/p>\n I decided to pursue a Master\u2019s degree to build on my professional experience and strengthen it with an academic perspective in intercultural management. In the ICM program I was especially struck by how closely the studies align with my interests, bringing together culture, languages, business, and inclusion.<\/p>\n After graduation, I hope to continue working in international or intercultural contexts, combining education, cultural projects, and socially meaningful initiatives. I am particularly interested in projects that create connections between people, cultures, and local communities.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Academic and professional background:<\/strong> Completed my Bachelor’s and Master’s in sociology from Noakhali Science & Technology University. Worked as a Research Enumerator, Educational consultant & voluntary teaching assistant.<\/p>\n As an indigenous person myself, I always wanted to study how culture is changing, and how people from different cultures with different norms and values interact with each other. ICM provides in-depth information about cross-cultural management with opportunities to meet international students and experts from various countries, from whom I can learn. Additionally, the program opens pathways for international exchange and internship experiences, further strengthening my global perspective.<\/p>\n Now I am in the process of learning cultural aspects more profoundly, chasing my dream of becoming a cross-cultural expert and activist.<\/p>\n Kat Academic and professional background: <\/strong>I completed my Bachelor\u2019s degree in Japan at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU), focusing on culture, media and society. My academic interests include migration, identity, and heritage studies, which I explored through my undergraduate research on museum narratives in Vietnam. I also have experience working in multicultural and international learning environments.<\/p>\n I decided to pursue a Master\u2019s degree to deepen my knowledge and prepare for an international career. I chose the ICM programme because of its strong link between theory and practice, especially in intercultural communication, diversity, and global mobility.<\/p>\n What I enjoy most about studying at Universit\u00e9 Bourgogne Europe is the international environment and the practical, career-oriented approach of the programme. Learning alongside classmates from different cultural and professional backgrounds is very enriching.<\/p>\n After graduation, I hope to work in Europe in intercultural consulting, global mobility, or diversity and inclusion, helping organizations and individuals navigate international environments.<\/p>\n I am Kelly from California, USA, originally, but I have been living in Dijon for 3 years. I am back to school after completing my Bachelor\u2019s in Humanities and Communication 10 years ago. Since then I have been working in various fields (French and English language teaching, events, customer service industries, etc.) but I am happy to be entering the Intercultural Management field to follow my passion for languages and culture. I chose this master\u2019s program because I feel it better aligns with my career goals combining language, people and communication and culture.<\/p>\n What I like about UBE are the instructors and the opportunities for students as well as the international student group. I also like that I am able to improve my French language skills. The students you meet in ICM are so knowledgeable and you are guaranteed to learn something from a different culture after every class.<\/p>\n My goals for after the program is to work in recruitment and or Human Resources or alternatively further my studies.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Plaxides Namutami Academic and professional background:<\/strong> I hold a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and have professional experience in digital marketing, content creation, and communications. My work has focused on inclusive content, branding, SEO, and supporting organizations operating across cultures, particularly in global mobility and people management contexts.<\/p>\n I decided to pursue a Master\u2019s in Intercultural Management because I am deeply interested in how culture influences communication, work practices, and decision-making in global environments. Coming from a multicultural and globally connected background, I wanted to develop a more structured, academic understanding of intercultural dynamics. I chose the ICM program because it combines theory with real-world application and prepares students to work effectively in international and multicultural settings.<\/p>\n What I appreciate most about studying at UBE is the international learning environment and the diversity of perspectives in the classroom. Of all the programmes that I researched, ICM really captured the essence of what I was looking for as well as its added amenities of a mandatory exchange programme and internship. I\u2019ve envisioned studying in France and this programme has facilitated such, as well as strengthening my French skills. It has also provided me with an opportunity to study with an interesting intercultural team, as well as networking opportunities and I am truly happy for that.<\/p>\n I wish to keep building on my language skills, intercultural competency, and networking capabilities all while building my professional dossier to be a consultant in global mobility.<\/p>\n Ekaterina Eremeeva\u00a0<\/strong> Academic and professional background:<\/strong> I got my Bachelor degree in Journalism,\u00a0 and for a year I was an intern in The Art Newspaper Russia, writing about luxury. I wanted to get an experience of studying abroad and work on my communication skills, so now I am an ICM student.<\/p>\n One of the reasons that made me apply for the program was the variety of future possible jobs after receiving the degree, displayed on the website. I figured out that if previous students managed to realise their dreams in such different places, this program must provide a very strong training that allows graduates to choose their interests and follow their passions.<\/p>\n Studying here and living in France for almost half a year now, I can definitely say that I made the right decision. One of my favourite things about ICM is people, constant communication, unlimited opinions and views. Here I mastered group assignments and learned how not to be afraid of conflicts and disagreements.
