{"id":326,"date":"2015-10-27T10:52:12","date_gmt":"2015-10-27T09:52:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.u-bourgogne.fr\/list-maps\/?page_id=326"},"modified":"2018-07-12T07:03:53","modified_gmt":"2018-07-12T06:03:53","slug":"overview","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blog.ube.fr\/list-maps\/project\/overview\/","title":{"rendered":"Overview"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 class=\"titre2\" style=\"text-align: center;font-family: streetvertising;color: #483d8b;font-size: 18px\"><strong style=\"color: #483d8b\">List_MAPS PROJECT (2015-2019)<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h1>\n<h2 class=\"titre2\" style=\"text-align: center;font-family: calibri;color: #483d8b;font-size: 18px\"><strong style=\"color: #483d8b\">&#8220;Training and Research in <em style=\"color: #483d8b\">Listeria monocytogenes<\/em> adaptation through proteomic and transcriptome deep sequencing analysis&#8221;<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: calibri;text-align: justify;color: #000000;font-size: 16px;padding-left: 100px;padding-right: 100px\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 List_MAPS is a European project funded by the Research and Innovation programme of the European Union <a style=\"text-decoration: none\" href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/programmes\/horizon2020\/en\/h2020-section\/marie-sklodowska-curie-actions\"><strong style=\"color: #483d8b\">Horizon2020<\/strong><\/a> under the Marie-Sk\u0142odowska Curie actions (ITN-ETN). \u00a0 Coordinated by the University of Burgundy, the project\u00a0 started on March 2015 and associates <strong style=\"color: #483d8b\">nine full partners <\/strong>(Beneficiaries)<strong style=\"color: #483d8b\"> and two associated partners <\/strong>(Partners organisations) from five European countries (France, Ireland, Germany, The Netherlands and Denmark) which belong to <strong style=\"color: #483d8b\">private and public sectors<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"titre2\" style=\"font-family: calibri;text-align: justify;color: #483d8b;font-size: 16px;padding-left: 100px;padding-right: 100px\"><a style=\"text-decoration: none;color: #483d8b;font-family: calibri\" href=\"http:\/\/blog.ube.fr\/list-maps\/consortium\/\">Click for more details<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"titre2\" style=\"font-family: calibri;text-align: justify;color: #000000;font-size: 16px;padding-left: 100px;padding-right: 100px\">List_MAPS focuses on <strong><em style=\"color: #483d8b\">Listeria monocytogenes<\/em><\/strong>, an ubiquitous pathogen present in agricultural and food environments (soil, animals, food industry) that is in the EU the leading cause of mortality and food recalls due to foodborne pathogens, costing the EU millions of euro per annum in medical care and associated costs in the food sector.\u00a0 The overall objective of the research programme is to tackle food safety through the combination of high throughput Epigenetics, Deep sequencing of transcripts, Proteomics, Bioinformatics, Mathematics and Microbiology to decipher the transcriptional regulatory circuitry that drives <strong style=\"color: #483d8b\">adaptation and virulence of <em style=\"color: #483d8b\">L.monocytogenes<\/em> from farm to fork<\/strong>. With the combination of these expertises List_MAPS focuses on these major objectives:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"padding-left: 150px;padding-right: 100px;line-height: 30px\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li class=\"titre2\" style=\"font-family: calibri;text-align: justify;color: #000000;font-size: 16px;padding-right: 100px;line-height: 30px\">\u00a0Understand how environmental conditions in soil, plants, biofilms and food matrices influence the capacity of <em style=\"color: #000000\">L.monocytogenes<\/em> to cause infection.<\/li>\n<li class=\"titre2\" style=\"font-family: calibri;text-align: justify;color: #000000;font-size: 16px;padding-right: 100px;line-height: 30px\">\u00a0Develop an integrated model of the regulatory circuitry of the pathogenic bacterium in order to refine our knowledge of the environmentally-dependent gene modules that underpin its ubiquitous nature and its capacity to generate infection.<\/li>\n<li class=\"titre2\" style=\"font-family: calibri;text-align: justify;color: #000000;font-size: 16px;padding-right: 100px;line-height: 30px\">\u00a0Assess intraspecific diversity of virulence potential and biofilm in relation to environmental cues.<\/li>\n<li class=\"titre2\" style=\"font-family: calibri;text-align: justify;color: #000000;font-size: 16px;padding-right: 100px;line-height: 30px\">Develop a cost efficient, rapid semiconductor sequencing application designed to assess the virulence potential of large numbers of isolates, sparing the cost, burden and ethical issues related to animal models.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"titre2\" style=\"font-family: calibri;text-align: justify;color: #483d8b;font-size: 16px;padding-left: 100px;padding-right: 100px\"><a style=\"text-decoration: none;color: #483d8b;font-family: calibri\" href=\"http:\/\/blog.ube.fr\/list-maps\/presentation\/research\/\">Click for more details<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"titre2\" style=\"font-family: calibri;text-align: justify;color: #000000;font-size: 16px;padding-left: 100px;padding-right: 100px\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 To achieve these objectives eleven Early-Stage Researchers (ESR) have been recruited for 24 to 36 months to develop scientific expertise through an <strong style=\"color: #483d8b\">innovative Ph.D training<\/strong>, including mobility of researchers,\u00a0 participation to national and international events like summer schools, workshops and conferences and transfer-of-knowledge in the areas of Transcriptomics, Proteomics, Sequencing and Systems Biology.
