Attention: CROUS residence have accommodation adapted for people with reduced mobility. You can apply for housing subsidies from the French Government through Family Allowances Fund (CAF). The amount of subsidies that will be granted is based on social criteria (resources, family situation, nature of housing, etc.).<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
General rules:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n- Kitchens open at 6 am and close at 11 pm every day.<\/li>\n
- No showers are allowed after 10 pm.<\/li>\n
- The Mansart residency is equipped with a gate that closes. You need your key in order to access the area. On top of that each building closes at 8 pm for security reasons. Luckily your keys should allow you to open the main gates and entrances to your residency.<\/li>\n
- People called \u201cveilleurs\u201d are present in the housing complex to ensure there is minimum noise every night.<\/li>\n
- Each residency has common washers and dryers, usually located in the main building. The Crous washing machine costs 2.80 euros and the dryer, 1.20 euros for each round of use.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Items to bring:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n- Pots and pans and all necessary items for eating and cooking.<\/li>\n
- A lock for the fridge.<\/li>\n
- Bedding (depends on the residency, but covers for mattress and blankets are required).<\/li>\n
- Towels, hangers etc.<\/li>\n
- Internet cable depending on your building: in Mansart (Chalon, Autun, Auxerre, Nevers) or in Montmuzard (Rameau, Rude, St Bernard, De Brosses, Piron).<\/li>\n
- Two small size identity pictures of yourself for registration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
When you arrive:<\/strong><\/p>\nGo to the main office of your residency. You would be asked to fill in registration forms (see below), you need to provide two identity pictures and pay the deposit (equivalent of a month\u2019s rent) as well as first month of rent right away. You can either pay by cash, credit card, maestro card or by a cheque bearing a euro amount. Wire transfers are not permissible.<\/p>\n
Thereafter, you will be given a set of keys for your room, the entrance of residency, and the bathroom (depending on buildings).<\/p>\n
Papers and Forms:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\nYou will be given a small document (purple) to fill out with your basic information. <\/span><\/span><\/span>The color might change according to your status.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
