{"id":321,"date":"2022-03-31T17:11:07","date_gmt":"2022-03-31T15:11:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.u-bourgogne.fr\/du-etudiants-en-exil\/?page_id=321"},"modified":"2025-02-04T10:36:28","modified_gmt":"2025-02-04T09:36:28","slug":"objectives","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blog.ube.fr\/du-etudiants-en-exil\/en\/what-is-the-du-passerelle\/objectives\/","title":{"rendered":"Objectives"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Students in exile<\/h3>\n<p>The main objective of this programme is to prepare students for French-taught courses at the university, ease their transition into life in France, and to provide a foundation for their career.<\/p>\n<p>The programme consists of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>intensive French lessons,<\/li>\n<li>cultural activities promoting the expression and discovery of French society,<\/li>\n<li>modules dedicated to supporting the student&#8217;s academic or professional goals,<\/li>\n<li>pairing the Universit\u00e9 Bourgogne Europe students with students in the DU<em> Passerelle<\/em> programme to encourage social insertion and the sharing of knowledge and experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The courses offer the language and learning skills required to enter a disciplinary university course.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.ube.fr\/du-etudiants-en-exil\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/137\/2022\/04\/DU-Passerelle-graphique-modules-en.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"321\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Other audiences<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Train French students who act as <em>tutors <\/em>to the migrant students of the DU in order to promote social integration and help them learn French.<\/li>\n<li>Inform about the refugees&#8217; issues through conferences for the general public, which are also very useful for students studying in related fields (legal careers, educational and social work&#8230;).<\/li>\n<li>Promote interculturality by organising festive events for the university community and the general public.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Students in exile The main objective of this programme is to prepare students for French-taught courses at the university, ease their transition into life in France, and to provide a foundation for their career.
