M\u00e9lodine Sommier\"\"<\/a> <\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

M\u00e9lodine<\/span> Sommier<\/span> works as an Assistant Professor in Intercultural Communication at Erasmus University Rotterdam<\/span> (the Netherlands)<\/span>. <\/span>Her research <\/span>concentrates on the use of culture as a discursive<\/span> and an interactional resource, in particular regarding <\/span>the conflation of culture with dimen<\/span>sions such as race and religion<\/span> and outcomes regarding the production of difference<\/span>. <\/span>Her strong expertise in the field of intercultural communication and command of critical approaches within that field are particularly valuable for this special issue. <\/span>M\u00e9lodine<\/span> is co-founder and co-chair of the temporary working group on Intercultural Communication & Diversity within the Netherlands-Flemish communication association (<\/span>NeFCA<\/span>) and vice-chair of the International and Intercultural Communication (IIC) division within the European communication association (ECREA).\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Alex Frame\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Alex Frame has been working as an <\/span>associate professor in Communication Science at the University of Burgundy (Dijon, France)<\/span> for the last 9 years<\/span>, where he<\/span> set up and now<\/span> runs the MA course in Intercultural Management<\/span> with David Bousquet<\/span>. He is a member of the TIL (\u201c<\/span>Texte<\/span>, Image, <\/span>Langage<\/span>\u201d) research group (EA 4182), where he <\/span>specialises<\/span> in <\/span>critical approaches to <\/span>intercultural communication.<\/span> He has published several books (a monography and several collective volumes), journal issues, articles and chapters in the field of intercultural communication.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

David Bousquet\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

David Bousquet has been working as an associate professor in English Studies and Modern Languages at the <\/span>University of Burgundy (Dijon, France)<\/span> since 2014. He co-supervises <\/span>the MA course in Intercultural Management<\/span> with Alex Frame. <\/span>He is a member of the TIL (\u201c<\/span>Texte<\/span>, Image, <\/span>Langage<\/span>\u201d) research group (EA 4182),<\/span> where he <\/span>specializes in postcolonial studies, cultural studies and sociolinguistics. He has been working on the question of cultural identities, \u201c<\/span>m\u00e9tissage<\/span>\u201d and creolization in the postcolonial world and is interested in the possible convergence between this theoretical framework and critical approaches to intercultural communication.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We are a group of enthusiastic Intercultural Management (ICM) students, and all have various cultures & backgrounds. ICM is an English-taught MA course for internationally mobile and open-minded students from around the world, who are interested in diversity and intercultural communication.
